I worked at subway and a homeless guy came in and asked if he could do anything around the store to earn a free meal. I had to tell him no because of store policy but I also told him I would buy him his food. I let him pick out what he wanted and happily paid for it. Fortunately for me I did not get in trouble. My co workers asked me if I knew him. When I said “no I just felt bad he was hungry and I had the money to help him.” They proceeded to say how nice I was. I only hope I could set some kind of example. We need to help each other I wonder what ever happened to the people who used to lend out a helping hand when needed. Has kindness become so rare to find we fear it when it is shown? Faith in humanly is dwindling and being consumed by greed.
