When I was homeless last year, its was the middle of summer and very hot, I was walking trying to find work. I stopped at a convenience store to get some water, and then I couldn’t find my food stamp card. I about started balling. I went up to the counter apologized and the clerk told me that the man that was behind me paid for it, and the guy didnt want me to know until he left, and for me to do it for someone else one day. Things like this do happen. I am so grateful for that man. I may never see him again. But if I wouldnt have gotten that water I wouldn’t have kept looking for work. And I wouldnt be in my own apartment now. Sometimes helping someone, just a little. Can completely change their lives.
